About 10,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled
into Fountain Creek Monday because of a corroded valve on a surge tank at the
Sand Creek wastewater lift station, Colorado Springs Utilities spokesman Mark
Murphy said. The spill is the fourth this year, including a 44,000-gallon spill
in January and two minor spills.

Bar's license remains in limbo

A decision on renewing the liquor and cabaret licenses for a Pueblo nightclub was delayed for the fifth time Wednesday.
The Pueblo Beer and Liquor Licensing Board voted to continue the hearings after deadlocking over whether Lucky Lou's violated the liquor code by serving to a visibly intoxicated person. MORE
