Drunken driving death

Re: the recent drunken driving death.

Another drunken driver has claimed another innocent victim. Robert "Bobby" Vigil was a passenger in a car in Pueblo. Bobby and his friends were probably talking of the usual things young people talk about - work, plans, family and friends.

Bobby and his friends were hit by a drunken driver. Bobby died. Bobby was only 29 years old. Over and over again this happens. Over and over again, the drunken driver is given another chance, while the family of Bobby Vigil are never given another chance, here on Earth with their beloved.

When will drunken driving be taken seriously enough? When will those who drink stop and think, "Gee, maybe I should let someone else have my keys?" This is an outrage. I pray for Bobby's family as they try to make sense of this horrible tragedy. I hope this makes someone stop and think. This is unacceptable.

I knew Bobby as a small boy, a person of genuine kindness and a smile so sweet. He certainly did not deserve this.
